Welcome to my practice! I am a dedicated and compassionate mental health therapist, here to support you on your journey to healing and self-discovery. Since earning my Master’s degree in Counseling from Monmouth University in 2016, I have been privileged to work with individuals, couples, and families across diverse populations and presenting issues. With licenses to practice in both New York and New Jersey, I am committed to providing a safe and inclusive space for clients from all walks of life.
My therapeutic approach is client-centered and integrative, blending evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with creative techniques such as art therapy and somatic practices. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, I tailor each session to meet your unique needs and goals. My work is rooted in empathy, authenticity, and the belief that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal with the right support.
In addition to my professional credentials, I bring a wealth of experience working with children, couples, and individuals who have faced complex challenges. I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable step, and I am here to provide a nonjudgmental environment where you feel truly seen and heard.
Together, we will explore the patterns, emotions, and behaviors that shape your experience, empowering you to create meaningful and lasting change. Thank you for considering me as a part of your journey. I look forward to walking alongside you toward a brighter future.
Olesya Lyukevich is a Mental Health Counselor–Limited Permit holder who provides therapy for adults across the lifespan—from young adulthood through older age. She specializes in working
with middle-aged and older adults navigating life transitions, particularly immigrants and individuals from culturally diverse backgrounds. Olesya is especially passionate about supporting those who have recently moved to a new country or are adjusting to major life changes—experiences that often come with feelings of isolation, uncertainty, and emotional overwhelm.
She brings a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to psychotherapy. Her clinical work is grounded in evidence-based modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness, and somatic interventions. Olesya creates a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, build emotional resilience, and take meaningful steps toward healing and growth.
Her clients often present with depression, anxiety, trauma, panic attacks, relational concerns, and chronic stress. Many come to therapy feeling stuck—overwhelmed by painful memories, ongoing stress, or a deep sense that things just aren’t improving. Olesya understands how hard it can be to carry these struggles alone. She believes therapy can be a place not only to process challenges but also to rediscover inner strength and hope.
Olesya holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the City University of New York. She offers therapy in both English and Russian.
Marie holds a Master of Science in Education (M.S.Ed) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The College of Saint Rose and currently practices under a limited permit as she works toward full licensure. She provides therapy for children, teens, adults, and families, with a focus on supporting clients through a range of life transitions, emotional challenges, and relational concerns.
Marie works with children and teens experiencing anxiety, emotional regulation difficulties, behavioral concerns, peer challenges, school-related stress, and major life transitions such as divorce or loss.
She also provides family counseling and collaborates closely with parents to support the parent-child relationship, strengthen communication, and foster healthy attachment and confidence in parenting. This includes helping caregivers navigate co-parenting dynamics, blended family adjustments, and other parenting stressors.
For adults, Marie offers a supportive and compassionate space to explore concerns such as anxiety, depression, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, and significant life changes—including career transitions, parenthood, or grief.
Her approach to therapy is rooted in warmth, empathy, and authenticity. She works from a child-centered and person-centered framework, deeply valuing unconditional positive regard, empathic understanding, and genuine human connection. She believes every individual holds the capacity for growth and healing within themselves—sometimes they just need the right environment and relationship to access it.
While her work with clients is always guided by their unique needs and goals, Marie often integrates evidence-based techniques from child-centered play therapy, solution-focused approaches, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness-based practices. Her style is gentle, supportive, and approachable, and she strives to create a space where clients feel safe, heard, and genuinely understood.
